Where-oh-where have I been lately? Oh, around… Around here and there and everywhere. I have been traveling a bit as of late, going to Denver to visit some family for six weeks in the beginning of January.
When I was younger I would dream and dream of moving back to Colorado after our unfortunate move to the East Coast…but I had always figured it was a situation of having to earn my life there as opposed to forming a life there. I am not sure why it was so difficult to wrap my head around this idea, but I am ready now to say goodbye to New York and hello to Denver. A friend of mine mentioned to me that I hadn’t given New York a proper chance…but after 12 years what other proof do you need? I succeeded in that I still have my life and I have built a life for myself there, it’s just not one I would have chosen for myself at the end of the day. So I am choosing a better one for me, full of opportunity and landscape and beauty. A little slower in pace, a better opportunity for me to savor the days, and not just rush to the finish line, which is what New York has always felt like…a big race to something I have not felt at one with, at all.
Throughout this whole time I have had the talented Sherry Holub, of http://www.jvmediadesign.com/ who has built me the beauteous website you see here. She has effortlessly translated the ideas I had only tried to describe with my pretty limited web understanding and has seamlessly guided me through this whole process so that I could finally get the site I had always envisioned for hearts and scars. Cheers to Sherry and a Massive Thank You for all that she has done to help me get this puppy running properly for the first time!
