Ok, so calling this talent new isn’t exactly accurate given many of these things were completed within the past year. I am one of those people who knows I am talented. But I do always have issues showing things to others. I could go into a psychological profile and explanation of my issues with pride and ego and all that, but leave that for future psychotherapists and literary agents to contend with–for me, it’s just a fear thing.
But here are my things I will shyly show you and sink off over in a corner that-away—These are my headbands. I have a special affinity for the twenties and thirties so much so that I own more dresses from the turn of that century than anyone you know. Like 9. I used to wear them out to parties and make fake occasions to wear my vintage gowns out to–I would share them with friends and my friends would go as companions, a little adult version of dress up.
They are not only for your head, but also for your waist. I make them for brides too, so keep that in mind. Not that you have found yourself here bumbling along as a lady looking for a veil, more than likely. But some of you likely have girlfriends, and if they have style, they might be keen to something like these…
Oh what else is there in life these days besides finding a proper job? Yoga. Yoga is my other thing. I wouldn’t say I am exactly a successful full-fledged yogi, but I do think I am a little more in line with my own reality doing it…
And…and Christmas. And trying to sell the remainder of these shirts off so I can get the new designs, which are of course, genius.
You will see those all later. And these bands are for me, separate from heartsandscars as a brand, but still me.

I run a dating advice website, an accessories line and I am trying to set up a scholarship still, or just fund one. I have learned a little bit doing this and putting these all in one place, and plan to be successful at the original venture by the end of 2012. Or before the aliens come get you. Or me. Or all of us….
And that should inspire a rather large amount of laughter, lovelies…

Hi. I think they are beautiful objects, not to mention vital fashion accessories. Long live the 20 & 30’s – a great era for style…of which, like you, am in full agreement. If you know any men’s tailors who can fashion bespoke suits (heavy wool, pinched shoulders, single rather than double-breasted, Prince of Wales cheque – DO let me know…).
Yet I agree with you (sadly) – that it is both honourable and difficult, revealing one’s work to a known and unknown audience. (As an art producer who’s had shows both in Europe and the US – this is a hard thing to do!) So I salute you. I am also truthful (absolute) in my appraisal: I think this is stylish, stunning and (appears) well-made accessories! Could you partner with and show these with a similar and like-minded fashion designer or era-stylist? I think you should – indeed urge you to!
There are no limits to your creative outlets and creativity. Keep the faith ma’am!

Chris,
Sorry it’s taken me some time to respond, but thank you for your comments and compliments! I am thinking of partnering up with some wedding shops and working the prom hair accessories angle once the season comes to be.
The twenties and thirties represent an era of lost fashion, style, and enthusiasm for life lived outside these little machines. I went to Goorin brothers yesterday to check out some hats, and will grab a few here in the next few months to wear with my lovely deco coat–which I need to get repaired, as a matter of fact.
That reminds me I need to check that out…
Thank you for commenting, and I hope you feel indulged to do so again in the future!
