The flight was fairly uneventful. We landed in a fairly bumpy “what is going on” type of manner, but that was apparently typical for American pilots, our Costa Rican friend Oscar said.
We got to the hotel, which was adequate for what we needed. The double bed situation was not really double bed of course.
The shenanigans with getting here were pretty funny in that the driver dropped us off at the wrong hotel and left. Then we paid to get the right hotel only to get one giant short people bed (A and I are both 5’10).
Now our driver who was supposed to pick us up is missing in action and we have been waiting a half hour for someone who was supposed to be very prompt. I am more than concerned and have sent several emails to this travel agent character so she will be hearing quite a bit from us if we ever get where we are supposed to be going.
So far, an F experience for something that was supposed to be super stellar and amazing.
Hopefully we can get to our “resort” soon. But if we don’t, Amex has this little thing called dispute charges which is totally fine in a situation where they charged us in 500 increments.
CRY. I wanted this to be easy and now I have to get nasty.
See you next time.

Don’t worry, Francis! It will get better. Arrivals are always tricky/bumpy/crazy/unexpected. Thinking of you…XOXO
Please keep updating whenever you get the chance.
